Incest Survivors Support Group
Incest refers to any sexual activity between closely related persons that is illegal or socially taboo. Consensual adult incest is very rare. Incest between adults and prepubescent or adolescent children is a form of child sexual abuse that has been shown to be one of the most extreme forms of childhood trauma. If you or a loved one is a survivor of incest, join the group...
How would you like to handle this situation. Would it be helpful to imagine a shield for you to carry and put between you and the abusers? (to protect you) Are you going to limit the time you're there? I can understand the anxiety you are experiencing.
Do you have free Help Lines in Scotland - I have no idea what is available there these days. We, in New Zealand, have Lifeline and Samaritans. just a few thoughts.
Also have you read (don't know if you like books) 'The Courage to Heal' by Ellen Bass and Laura Davis. There is a check list in there for when you're not feeling right - may be helpful
Wish there was more I could do for you.
I used to live in Scotland - on the lovely Isle of Bute!
Be strong ........ Hugs, daisymay

I also second what Daisymay has said about Courage to Heal. It was an invaluable tool that helped me at times when I needed help the most.
About the wedding... maybe ask your sister if you can bring a friend along with you for extra support... I wish you luck and I hope that you are okay.
1. could you simply not go? How would your sister take it? how would you take it? - in this you and your sister are the only two who matter, and you matter more than your sister. if someone doesn't understand or holds it against you then they are not your supporters and do not matter.
2. If you really want to go, sbskeeper's suggestion you bring a friend who can support you is a really good one.
3. If you really want to go, minimise the time you are there (arrive as late as possible and leave as early as possible) and keep as much distance between your abusers and yourself. Avoid them, if they come near you, move away. You can be rude to them, you do not owe them any politeness.
I'm really sorry about what has happened to you with your rape crisis support. Is it because of the cuts in funding? Discuss your fear of losing your counsellor with her. It needs to be addressed.
Hugs.
