I found out less than a week ago my ex -husband raped, & molested our daughter two years ago. She is now 9. She is a wonderful, smart, calm compassionate little girl. We have spent the week in multiple counciling sessions each, forensic interviews, and police visits. She hasn't seen her father in over a year. He's not around, & hasnt been. Yesterday she flipped out. She was super upset we went in her room, to get the clothes for evidence, she was hiding them under her dresser. She threw an awful tantrum. She had several sobbing breakdowns, once because I told her she could pick out the vegetable we'd have with dinner. She was screaming at me, asking me why we had to have vegetables at all. She said that shirt was her personality. She asked me how long they would keep it. I let her shop and pick out two new ones in line, but still keeps going back to asking more questions about it. She swears it still fits and she wears it often. I told her I hadn't seen it in forever. She replied she wears it under her jackets. She refuses to be in her room with the door shut. She told me she's afraid someone is in there and going to hurt her. After dinner she carried out a photo album I'd given her a long time ago that had pictures of her dad and I when we were married. She was asking me questions about him. She started crying again. She asked if the police were going to take the pictures she had. She woke up in the early morning crying. She said that she'd dreamt her father was angry she told and killed us myself, her step father and my boys leaving her alive. She said she was afraid, & that she had no one to take care of her. I don't know if there is a 24 hour line I can call, or if there is some service out there I can help her with. I know it's the weekend & she seems ok right now, but what can I do? She has been attached at my hip all day. Tons of hugs I've held her more in the last 24 hours than I did before she was able to walk. Not that I mind at all it's good for us both, but I'm trying to reason with her, help her, & I'm beyond comprehension here. I'm lost too. I'm trying so hard to keep it together, because god knows she doesn't need me to crumble too. I need help, advice, something. Will she ever be my happy sweet girl again.

Above should be the National sexual assault hotline page. It offers online help or help over the phone.
You will get thru this and you will find your little girl on the otherside.
I found out my husband was molesting our 3 year old daughter six weeks after giving birth to our son.
My world was ripped apart.
My daughter and newborn needed me, I could not fall apart!
We went to counselling, investgators, and survived.
She is now 16, wonderful, while and is pursing her goal to be a youth minister.
