They found our sister. She lives in Denver. She doesn't want to me anyone just yet. But she wants to know more about our family. I told the social worker some info and I'll let her pass it along. I'll let you know more when I do. Hope you're doing okay. I moved back to Berkeley. I photograph newborns in a hospital in SF. Take care.

About her, When I first found out I had another sister my first thought was that I want to meet her. of corse. but as I thought about it more i realized that i was being selfish. what about her? does she want to meet us? Does she even know she is adopted? and if she did, and she wanted to meet us. she would contact us herself. Maybe she doesnt like to think about it. I'm sure shes not angry. who knows? everything happens for a reason. But I feel like that if she wants to meet the [family name] that she will do it in her own time when shes ready. its not up to me to decide when she should meet her biological family just because I want to meet her.
Do keep me updated. What all info do you have? Name? Age? ect...

I'm mowing a golf corse in albany [KY] part time. I got into SIU [Seafarers International Union] school but it may not start for several months to come.
Dads at work and he is doing very well. he looks 10 years younger than his age. I notice his mind is starting to go though. very sad. he wont admit it and it isnt bad now but I can tell.
[extremely small hometown name in TN] sucks worse than ever. Cant wait till SIU.

Kenny doesn't sound like he means harm, but you should tell him you are not interested in hearing news of your father.

Yes, I am grappling with the thoughts of letting him know that I am angry about him keeping our sister a secret and that I do not want to hear anything about our father.

Family, I have learned, is not always the best place to go for what you need. In my case, I have been destroyed by them, and I have found some truly amazing people in my life.
If you want to keep your family, then you have to set very clear boundaries. You have to let them know how to treat you and that if they break those rules, there will be consequences. You deserve to have relationships that sustain you--not damage you.

First of all, I think you should have informed me that I had a sister as soon as you found out.
Secondly, I don't consider Dad to be a parent so you need not bother informing me of how he is doing.
Thirdly, that is great that you are going to school. I hope that you will keep me updated.
