He ought to be reported, he needs to be locked up but most importantly you need to be safe and feel safe. You will never feel safe while he is at large, but I can fully understand you not wanting to increase the danger.

Look after yourself first and then look after him. Document everything so if and when you feel ready to go to the police, you have everything with you.

I agree with the others. Your more likly to be hurt or killed not reporting him becouse he is free to come back and attack you. Definitly get in a safe place befor reporting him.

Sweetie, my abuser told me the same thing. He told me that he would not only kill me, but my whole family and it kept me silent for years. Your therapist can help you with a safety plan and reporting when you are ready. After I reported my abuser didn't come near me or even communicate with me. He was far more interested in doing what his atty said and trying to get his ass out of the fire.

This threat is deeply buried in us and , unless difused by a competent Therapist, it can still remain active in our deep buried memories and "protected"by some programmed parts in us.

He had a gun from German Nazis kept in a safe and managed to terrify him from very early age.As an adult, he had forgotten about the gun but was still programmed not to remember until he worked with his therapist.Mind control can continue one's whole life if not spotted.
