Yes I told my parents shortly after they adopted me But they did not get into trouble My parents did everything they could but no one. believed me They did stuff to me. that's too painful to talk about.

Hiya Tabby, welcome to a wonderful and caring support family! Your in the right place honey, everyone here is truly caring and kind. Please don't worry about talking about your stuff. No one is going to push you to talk about anything ok. You will open up when you are ready. If you click on something and start reading and it bothers you just click out of it and go on. I am new to dealing with my abuse in childhood also. Sometimes I can open up and other days I can't and that is ok and perfectly normal. So again, welcome to you! I'm happy to meet you and sad that you have reason to come here.
I'm REALLY glad you were adopted by people who believed you and supported you...even if they couldn't get legal traction on that.

And I'd like to say...
The CPS foster system is really, REALLY messed up, and it makes me REALLY angry!

I'm friends on another site with a kid whose foster father put him in the hospital
The foster parents he was sent to were worse than the family CPS removed him from!
GRR!

My foster parents were mean to me. They would take belts and hit. me. They would lock in a closet for hours They would yell and scream at me for no reason. I hated them the foster dad told me if I told anyone he would kill me
