Do you have IBS C or D?!
Do you think you always have to be one or the other?
I was diagnosed with IBS around my junior year of high school..so about 5 years ago. I was having trouble with constipation. Well now most of the time I have a problem being too loose. However, it really differs from day to day. I think that is why in this point in my life I feel as though leaving my home is not an option. I do not want to be out in the car, or a restaurant, or a store and have to RUN to the bathroom in hopes of making it in time..or being in so much pain from constipation I can not doing anything but vomit.
Do you think one is easier to deal with then the other?!
Are there any meds that really help either?
I have Bendyl which is very successful with taking away the stomach cramping and releives me very quickly of my constipation. However, if I am very loose I do not want to take it for the pain because I know in the end it will only put me on the toilet for longer. So then I turn to Lomotal which is a mild antidiahrra med. It makes me soo much better after about 20 mins..but then the next day i turn full circle and become constipated even though it is supposed to be a mild form of pills like Immodium. Ey yi yi!!
Id love to hear about your experiences with meds and if there are others who have both C and D?!

A week on one kind. Didn't help at all. Trying a different brand. Started yesterday. I have only been on it for 2 days. I'll let you know if it helps. I am not confident that it will though.
I am on 1 pill a day (2 billion live cells) Lactobacillus Acidophilus.
