I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident. I learned that the song won an award and was featured in an indie movie called Once. I just watched it, and it's really good. They made it in 3 weeks on a $100,000 budget. It's streaming on...

Speaking of Taylor Swift, I spent ages trying to get this one out of my head -
"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

Jennifer Lopez - "I Luh Ya Papi"
(and no it's not a typo)

Ugh, such a waste of recording studio equipment, that one...
I do find some of them enjoyable, maybe obsessive yet comforting.
I am not even going to go there on your song Tes! LOL
I gather it's a irritating ear worm-moth-bug what have you
This is an irritating one for me. Maroon 5 has had so many songs about Adam Levine's breakup that it is overkill!
Maroon 5 is a good band, and I truly do like Adam but hey! Give it a REST dude will ya

I agree on the
"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"
UGH
Or "Trouble"
But I like this one and it's in my ear a lot. An obsession confession lol
It's cute!
and yeah it's ro-mantic

For the record, I think Maroon 5 were better before Adam Levine became a "thing". Their first two albums were great. After that, I could do without them. But that's me.
As for Taylor, she's not my bag, but I get why her music is popular. It's catchy stuff. But catchy often can become earwormy because it's that catchy stuff that latches on to your mind and then beats your brain to a pulp by playing ad nauseum in your head.
Like, as I said in a different thread, I do enjoy a good Osmond Brothers tune every now and then, but "Down By The Lazy River" is so darn catchy and enjoyable that it will play in my head until I want to beat my head against a wall to make it stop. Having seen Donny Osmond on a local chat show today (and M having posted it elsewhere the other day) just made it sneak back in my cranium again. Thanks for that M (and Donny!).

Taylor can be catchy and she seems to have holding power against any naysayers. I guess I admire her some for her songwriting even though sometimes it seems to be eternal angst. The one I posted above I thought quite adorable.
Now quit beating your head against the wall!
I am getting so tired of this one, never liked it much anyway (my bad)
I wish the radio would stop, please stop playing it because it's a wormy ear irritation. I may just have to go beat my head against a wall now
Lorde-Royals
Enuff said, no link. Nope.
I'm not a fan of Taylor because I don't think she's a very good singer, but I will give her props for her catchy songwriting skills. Not everyone can write a solid pop tune and she's made several. I'd probably prefer them to be sung by someone with the ability to stay on key more, but that's just me and she does just fine without my buying her music so I don't think she'll be changing any time soon.
My next one goes back a ways... I remember one summer I was working at a business school and the registrar used to keep on this one top 40 station on the radio and like every hour on the hour they were playing the same song and there was one teacher that sat in the main office area where my office space was and we'd always be like "they're playing that darn song again!" and roll our eyes...

The repeating of the name in the title was getting on my nerves. Time gone by with not hearing the song constantly on the radio, I can now deal with it if I hear it
