Hysterectomy Support Group
A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, usually done by a gynecologist. Hysterectomy may be total (removing the body and cervix of the uterus) or partial (also called supra-cervical). Although there are conservative alternatives, hysterectomy is performed for uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic relaxation, heavy or abnormal menstrual bleeding, and cancer.

I am 41/2 months post op (TAH) and we just had a wild weather ride with 60s, rain/thunderstorms/tornadoes, snow and now 20s. I have not hurt like this since about week 4 or 5.
Has anyone noticed that the weather plays a role in how they feel? Feels like my internal stitches are stretching and about to split open! I also have that tingling, pricking sensation around my incision. And let's not even talk about the size of my Swelly Belly!
I had pain on my right side and freaked a little b/c I still have my appendix. I spoke to the on-call doc last night (not my doctor) and she just dismissed me saying it doesn't have anything to do with the surgery since I'm 41/2 months out.

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
What helped me is, my doctor suggested lying on my back and-dont laugh- using a rolling pin, gently roll over the swelly belly to reduce build up on the outside of the abdominal muscle.
Hope this gives some relief
