Hysterectomy Support Group

A hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus, usually done by a gynecologist. Hysterectomy may be total (removing the body and cervix of the uterus) or partial (also called supra-cervical). Although there are conservative alternatives, hysterectomy is performed for uterine fibroids, pelvic pain, pelvic relaxation, heavy or abnormal menstrual bleeding, and cancer.

I had a complete hysterectomy in 1990 and now I believe I have cancer. I'm on the replacement patch and I have these strange spots appearing on my abdomen. I wear the patch on my abdomen. I'm afraid that I may not be long for this world.. very fearful. I'm tired all of the time.

There may be many reasons for the spots. Don't jump to conclusions that you may have Cancer. I know you are worried but why don't you make an appointment with your doctor. It may be nothing at all!

I ran out of steam while I was typing that post sorry that I was so vague.

I did get a doc app't but she is booked up solid for the next month. I see her on May 8th

I can't help but worry is all.

No problem. I know it's easy for someone to say "don't worry" and I know how hard it is to wait. If you can keep your mind on other things it really does help. I really have learned that worrying isn't productive, making that Doctors appt was though! The chances are you will be fine. Hope you have a nice Easter!
