Hypothyroidism Support Group
Hypothyroidism is the disease state caused by insufficient production of thyrohormone by the thyroid gland. There are several distinct causes for chronic hypothyroidism, the most common being Hashimoto's thyroiditis and hypothyroidism following radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroidism. Advanced hypothyroidism may cause severe complications, the most serious one of which is...
Higher testosterone - less sleeping
Higher estrogen - sleep better
Higher thyroid meds - sleep better
DHEA - Can't sleep at all
Take from that what you will because everyone's body chemistry is a bit different. And mine is admittedly strange.

I know from personal experience that I sleep MUCH better when my thyroid levels are optimal for me (slightly-over-range FT4 and FT3 75-100% of range)
I'm considering getting a second opinion.
Unfortunately, sex hormones are much like thyroid hormones - it takes a good bit of time for the body to adjust and labs come into play as well as symptoms. It's hell. It's righteous hell when the thyroid is "off" as well as sex hormones, so I don't envy you, but I've been there.
I'm super sensitive - and bio-identical is all I can take. I'm not saying it's best for everyone, but it's best for me.
And, I can't take ANY oral estrogen. I have to use patches and change them every three days like clockwork.
I can take oral progesterone, but only the bio-identical type - suspended in oil. I usually take it right before bed (same bat time, same bat station).
It sounds like you've got so much going on that it's hard to pinpoint exactly what's going on with ya. I'm so sorry.
One thing at a times is always best, but it's hell. The only thing I'd recommend adjusting together would be estrogen and progesterone - unopposed estrogen can make you feel awful.
If you don't mind me asking - are you producing your own estrogen/progesterone in addition to trying to taking these meds ore have you had a hysterectomy/oophorectomy?
I am looking into a doctor that practices functional medicine and tries to get to the root of the problem and not just throws medicine at you.
