Whatever happened to a happy medium? Your doctor could have brought you down to 62.5mcg.....
You will feel better when your thyroid levels are appropriate for your body's needs. For most of us, this means FreeT4 and FreeT3 levels above mid-range.
My doctor never increased my dose more than 12.5mcg at a time. Some people have trouble adjusting to even that size dose increase and their doctors increase by smaller amounts.
To go back to a dose that wasn't high enough just doesn't make sense.
I suggest you call your doctor and ask about going up to 62.5mcg for a month with permission to bump up to 75mcg if doing well.
Many people have blood pressure problems etc and are treated with meds for both.
Sounds like you are in a catch 22 and that just doesn't seem fair...
