I wrote in a discussion awhile back stating SUFFERING. Well I went back to my internalist this past thursday. I was in a full panic, heart racing, shaking episode. I tried to explain to him and my nurse that I thought my upped dosage of synthroid was too much, and that I had called the office like 2 weeks after the upped dose and complained, and thier reply to me was it was too early to have these side effects. I have been suffering since the end of Dec with all the symptoms that come with hyperthyroidism, when I am being treated for hypo.
Long story short, my blood work came back and my thyroid is producing too much of the hormones that it should, and they said the dosage I was on wouldn't have made it produce that much. Sooo now they stopped my synthroid all together and are thinking that my thyroid may be inflammed. So I have to go back now in 2 weeks for another blood test. I say my thyroid is inflammed due to thier upped dosage. Oh yeah, and by the way they said I was suppose to be taking 112mcg's from the 100 mcg's that I had previously been taking, and I was taking 125mcg"s which they called my pharmacy and someone had made the mistake of perscribing the 125"s. Thats wahy I say whats next. I just want to feel normal thats all. Thanks for letting me vent:)

Sometimes a new doctor is the best solution to the problem of not feeling normal.
It bothers me to read stories of peeps suffering 'cuz their docs aren't managing them properly.
And, your story about the mishap with the 125mg dosage confirms things I've read about pharmacy mistakes....and how the patient needs to confirm what is being prescribed....and also what is actually dispensed to them by the pharmacy.
Lots of bases to cover just to maintain good health - kinda stinks 'cuz peeps aren't doing their jobs right but it's the reality of the situation.
If we want to survive it all, we have to learn how to deal with it.
