Would you have your most recent labs with ranges to post? For example (below I just made up random numbers, but post them like that):
TSH3 ranges 1-4
FreeT4 1.2 range 1-1.9
FreeT3 2.7 range 1-3.5

New Labs

FT4 .79 range .75-1.54

T3 (186) HIGH range 71-180

T4 total 7.9 range 4.5-12.0

TSH .98 range 0.50-6.00

I still had symptoms so she switched me and now I am so tired I want to cry. I started the new dose 8 days ago and I am exhausted!!! She said I need to stick it out so she can evaluate but oh man this is annoying!!!

She should test the Free T-3. Your total is a little over but you need the free tested. Your FT4 is way too low also. I can see why she raised the Synthroid. Usually when they do that, they have to reduce the Cytomel slightly. Your T-4 might convert to some T-3 for you unless you don't convert well.You're feeling the reduction because the T-3 in Cytomel is felt right away.

The thing is you went from 12.5 Cytomel to less than half of that so that's why you suddenly feel tired. The extra synthroid dose might help but it's not instant like with the Cytomel. Give it another week and see if you feel any better. The T-4 has to be converted to the T-3 and that takes a little more time.

Yes, it's too bad docs may do this but they don't want us to have hyper labs. As long as your labs are in the range, even if they are towards the higher side,you should be okay. Most feel better with slightly higher levels.You could try taking maybe 10 instead of 12.5 or just 5. Can you cut the pill or is it a capsule? Your level of t-3 is just over the range,testing the free level would give a more accurate picture. You could ask the doc about this. it could be maybe the free T-3 is even higher. Don't know unless you have that test. Don't make yourself hyper either. Hope this helps.Your freeT-4 is very low but that doesn't have to do with the Cytomel. That is just a T-3 med.

Thanks you, see before she lowered the T4 Synthroid from 125 to 100 and then she kept the Cytomel the same. 12.5 I still felt off...
I was going Hyper and I do not want to do that again. I go hyper with Hypo symtoms...except I had terrible anxiety. I suggested to her that I take 112 Synthroid and drop the Cytomel to 10 but she said to wait out the new dose. I just can't any longer. It's two weeks and I feel terrible. I'm having bathroom issues and feel sick. My nerve pain is coming back. Im tired and do not feel right. Thanks for your help. The extra 5 helps I can feel it within a few hours. Should I tell her what I am doing or search for a new doctor? She also didn't check the free t3 and that upsets me! I have been going through this for over a year and it's terrible!
