FINDINGS:
The thyroid gland is heterogeneous in echotexture with prominent vascularity.
The right lobe of the thyroid gland measures 3.9 x 1.2 x 1.5 cm. The left lobe of the thyroid gland measures 4.1 x 1.3 x 1.6 cm. The isthmus measures 0.3 centimeters.
RIGHT LOBE:
Nodule 1: In the right lower pole thyroid, there is a relatively homogeneous, solid nodule measuring 1.0 x 0.8 x 0.9 cm. This is relatively hypovascular.
LEFT LOBE: Nodule 1: In the left upper pole thyroid, posteriorly, there is a solid homogeneous nodule measuring up to 0.9 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm. This is also hypovascular. No cervical lymphadenopathy.
IMPRESSION: Heterogeneous echotexture of the thyroid with mildly increased flow. Bilateral solid nodules measuring up to 1 cm on the right and 0.9 cm on the left. They are not hypervascular relative to the surrounding tissue. These nodules are amenable for biopsy. Clinical correlation with thyroid function testing recommended.
