While you might find FT4 1.8 to be high, I agree that your result might have been skewed that way due to your meds intake.
Before you consider reducing your dose, I'd be looking at your FT3 level as well.
Both levels need to be appropriate for us to be without symptoms.
It sounds like you might be trying to beat a dead horse with your current doctor. Hope you consider trying a different one.
