It really doesn't matter what you take as long as it works for you and, most importantly, you take the same manufacturer's product each time.
Since thyroid meds are usually taken for life, I wasn't interested in brand name if I could find a generic that worked.
My very first levothyroxine Rx was filled with Mylan generic and I fared well well on it. I've been taking it for almost 4 years now.
I just make sure that, for every refill Rx, my doctor notes "Mylan medically necessary".
I pay $10 for a 90 days' supply at Walmart......Synthroid would be quadruple that.
