Okay, this might be a strange question, and I have suffered with it for about the past six months or more, but I suddenly wondered if this is part of hypothyroidism.
When I eat, it seems like the food is kind of getting stuck and sitting on my chest. I have no troubles with digestion,but there is that tight feeling while I am eating and for awhile afterwards. I also get this feeling laying down at night (I have sleep apnea and always attributed it to trying to get used to breathing with my machine every night). I also thought maybe it was just the constant fatigue I felt all over just spilling over into this situation with eating.
I always have to take deep breaths to feel better while I am eating, but I thought it was the weight gain maybe.....I have been battling my weight for about 5 years...and that has been how long my numbers have been all over the place (basically since menopause kicked in)
This seems like a ramble, I know. Just wondering. Any ideas?

Either way, I'd consider talking to your doctor about it.
I have a hiatul hernia plus barretts esophagus. Have to watch what I eat and cannot lay down after eating.
slowly. I feel the stuck feeling sometimes, and sometimes I have to
make myself throw up the food. Yuck. I am very careful when I'm
eating and I do not eat much before I go to bed.
