Well, new doctor now wants me to try adding some Sustained Release T3 on top of my Nature-Throid dose. Compounded SR-T3 10mcg.
I need to try something because my last T3 was 2.6 and my T4 was Below the range quite a bit. Doctor wants me to check ReverseT3 with next lab draw. I'd like to see what my RT3 number is! Still wish I could get a doctor to recognize my low cortisol issue. Can't say I haven't tried! But I'll keep trying.

You can order a saliva test for adrenals yourself online if your doctor won't give you one. I paid $120(thru my doc's office tho). Then you could show him the results and see what he says. Either way it would be nice to know if you have an adrenal problem as well.
Thanks but I've done two cortisol saliva tests. Last Fall I ordered my own test. This February I did another one -- here's the test results:
1.68 L (1.8-3.8) Morning
0.50 (0.3-1.4) Noon
0.55 (0.1-1.1) Evening
0.16 (0.1-0.8) Night
I just have bad luck getting a doctor to treat my adrenals directly. On my own I am taking Vit C, B-complex, sea salt, potassium. But going off my own research I feel I may need HC treatment.
No, didn't add to N-T dose because I increased not long ago. Now adding in the T3. Guess we'll see how it goes.
Did you have difficulty getting a Dr to treat your adrenals?
I had horrible response to SR T3, just could not deal with it.
I think its clear that you need an increase in your NT dose.
As for your adrenals, you are definitely in need of some kind of steroid replacement. I can't recall if you have a ND, but that is the way to go, remember, most traditional doctors and endos dont even believe in adrenal fatigue much less insufficiency, talk about stupidity.
I am now on 20 mgs of time release Hydrocortisone and doing so much better. Get the right doctors, you will never improve until you are getting appropriate treatment and most doctors are morons.
