Never had any problems w/ my skin, but now w/ hypo it is thick & flaky, mainly on hands,wrist & face. I exfoliate & use pure oils, still w/in no time flakiness back;(

I use a natural based aloe vera/vitamin E/witch hazel type of toner and then use Dr. mercola body balm on my face. Seems to help.

I try to avoid anything SLS, SLES, parbens, etc. that are not good.

I began using Cetaphil intense moisturizer in a little tube when my face turned scaly from the hypo. It has done wonders!!!

loots of water, take vitamin D , E supplaments, and use some of the products that have already been suggested. i use Curel on my body, b/c it's non scented which is helpful since i'm allergic to pretty much all fragrance. Do indeed avoid SLS products, i switched my toothpaste to Burt's Bees to avoid that b/c of mouth irritation. (sodium lauryl sulfate in case you didn't know)

Maybe try coconut oil. I use that for my dry skin and love it. It's also good to have a tablespoon of it a day . Tomorrow I am going to try it in my oatmeal. I have read great thing about this oil.

As thyroid10 said, coconut oil is amazing...we use it here for all our cooking these days. I hear it's great for acne too.
