Hypothyroidism Support Group
Hypothyroidism is the disease state caused by insufficient production of thyrohormone by the thyroid gland. There are several distinct causes for chronic hypothyroidism, the most common being Hashimoto's thyroiditis and hypothyroidism following radioiodine therapy for hyperthyroidism. Advanced hypothyroidism may cause severe complications, the most serious one of which is...

checked out. It could definitely be that your thyroid is off--if you are
on thyroid medication, you may need less of it. Doctor needs to run
some thyroid labs on you, and hopefully more than just the TSH test.
Shaking can sometimes be caused by other things, too. But with
your heart rate going up, and with you snapping at your sister like that,
and with your losing some weight, too,
it definitely could be too much thyroid hormone....if you're on thyroid-
replacement medicine, they would need to lower your dose and
maybe even stop it for a few days, then begin again at a lower dose.
I would certainly get it checked out, if you haven't, already. I've had
things like this before--in my case, thyroid-related. Best to you.
I think that you are right; I should ask for another thyroid function test because I am now losing weight without dieting. So far I have lost 4 kilos within the month, sleeping only 4 hours per night, having shakes and tremors, and general moodiness. My siblings irritate me more than usual (but that they are normally irritating any way). My skin has thinned down like paper, my hair either breaks off or falls off. I am so tired all the time. I have muscle pains, and a goiter to boot. Gosh, I cannot take this hormonal upset any more.
Thank you so much for caring enough for me to write a post. I really appreciate your help. Take care, Marie
