rapid heart beat

I was moved from 50mcg synthroid to 75mcg 39 days ago and i seem to now have some rapid heart beats. Do you think i am taking too much. I hate this feeling Help

It's hard to say with out labs. You need a free T3 and Free T4 test to be sure.

For me, when going up in dosage - around week 5 I get rapid heart beats and feel, well, freaky. Then it gradually goes away with time - but my labs (usually done at week 8 for me - I know it should be week 6, but my doctor is overwhelmed) never show that I'm hyper. Meaning, my levels never go above range (at least not to far).

If you're concerned, get those tests done. And, if you have a family history of heart problems - you might want to get that seen about asap.

I've been plagued with a rapid heart rate since being diagnosed. It was worse when I was on Synthroid for a month and a half, however it still them. They come and go but it is pretty scary. I've had an echo and CT scan twice to rule out any other issues.

I get palps off/on too, and yes, they are scary to experience. I hate the racy, fast heart rate.

I have learned since studying 'thyroid' that a couple other factors can cause palpitations aside from your T3, T4 levels being too high.
Low iron (specifically your Ferritin level) and poor adrenal function can cause this. If you haven't check your Iron including Ferritin levels, and if your Dr won't do it, you can order a saliva cortisol test to check your adrenals out. I know CanaryClub and MyMedLabs are two sites you can order this test from. Hope you feel better!
