I'm still working on convincing my doctor that I'm hypo and need thyroid medication. Have you found that you retain vitamins any better when your levels are more optimized? Or is low D and B12 always an issue?
I have also had the same problem getting my numbers up. I too forget and in part it's because of the food issue... I started taking 5,000.
I bought some gel caps of Vitamin D in 10,000 IU and have started taking one per day. And I've started adding parsley to my fruit smoothies because it's rich in vitamin K, and I take the vitamin the same time I drink it.
