Hypothyroidism can also cause you to be hypoglycemic or pre-diabetic especially when titrating up on your meds.

Part of that plan is optimizing your thyroid. Do you have TSH, Free T3, and Free T4 tests to share?
The other thing you can do is to eat sensibly and often - every 3-4 hours. You can also eliminate all the white foods from your diet. Eat leans meats, veggies, and fruits. It's not that hard if you think about it...it just takes a different mind-set.
My current results are:
TSH- 0.63 (range: 025.-5.0)
FT3 - 6.01 (Range 4.0-8.3)
FT4- 19.78 (range 9.00-20.00)
Total T3- 1.23 (range 0.95-2.5)
Total T4 - 66.07 (range 60-120)
Current meds. Thyroxine; 100mg on alternate days, 125mg, rest of the days.
