Okay so lately I have had this pain my my neck in this spot [IMG]http://i43.tinypic.com/2ce3juh.jpg[/IMG]

I have nodules on my thyroid and I know this is above where my thyroid is but could the pain be associated? It feels like a lump on my throat (would I say windpipe?) and it feels bruised or sore..it hurts..When I look up I can feel the discomfort. I don't know what to think about it. I have an appointment with my endo in June for my biopsy should I wait to ask him or should I go to my primary dr? Although I want to find a new primary Dr. because I feel like this one thinks i am a hypochondriac and doesn't follow up on my concerns. Anyway..My aunt has Hashis like me and has been hypo for over 20 years. She says all her lymph nodes in her neck always hurt her and are always swollen ..... I wonder if there could a lymph node right where I'm pointing? Grr!! I am so frustrated! It seems to be one thing after another with my health these days!

I'm am sooo glad that you posted this. I have pain there sometimes also, in the exact same spot except on the other side. I also have the same feeling. I just went to my new endocrinologist on Tuesday. He was in and out so quickly. He wouldn't even let me show him where I have pain or even check my thyroid. He just told me that the thyroid doesn't cause pain. I have talked with my pcp and the nurse practioner. No one gives it a thought or says anything about it.

I, too, am so frustrated. Could you post if you find out what it is? Thank you.

thi so okay I went to the dr and he said my glands are swollen and infected so that's the lumps and pain

I'm just curious, did he say why they were infected and how to get rid of the infection?

hey! no he didn't say why they would be infected but he gave me antibiotics, a 5 day z pack. have you seen a doctor about your pain?

Sometimes I have the pain and sometimes I don't. I have gone to three different doctors about it and no one would say anything about it. Now I know though, if I feel pain there I think that I will eat more garlic.

Garlic has natural antibiotic properties. Since I delivered my last baby at home, my midwife had me eat lots of garlic to avoid any infections during birth. So I am just use to it now.
