As someone who made it to the "other side" (optimal levels) back in June 2011, I can tell you that it's w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l.
Now, our job isn't done once our levels optimize....we have to work to maintain those optimal levels (just as diabetics have to do).
This translates into the continuation of regular labs (I go every 4-6 wks. and thankfully, my doctor recognizes the need for this based upon my history)....and getting appropriate (VERY small) dose adjustments.
By doing this, I'm often able to prevent the development of thyroid symptoms. If I *do* develop any symptoms, they are often mild and don't last all that long.
After all, I'm just topping off some of the holes in my sponge :)
