You know, Dr. John Lowe presented a good argument about fibro actually being a manifestation of undiagnosed/improperly treated hypothyroidism.
And, in looking at just what polymyositis involves, I do wonder if that, too, falls within the same category.
You just might want to take a good, hard look at your thyroid labs to see if your treatment has been optimized.
Most of us feel best with our FreeT4/T3 levels at least in the upper half of the range and, more commonly, in the upper third.
If you post your most recent labs (with reference ranges since they vary from lab to lab), we'll help you identify whether or not your levels/meds dose are appropriate. (of course, you'd need to share your meds/doses as well :)
Just a side note: I had a total thyroidectomy in April due to a 5.7 cm nodule and they found papillary microcarcinoma, but my Endo says I will always carry the Anti-TPO and Anti-Thyroglobulin antibodies. Still trying to get my Synthroid doseage right.
