Needing a big hug

For the past week, I've such huge mood swings I'm not sure my hubs is going to stay with me. I have a DR appointment that (the soonest they can fit me in is mid-May). there are no "direct labs" in the entire state. My pills seem funked and ineffective (I'm guessing because I get them 3 months at a time and have experience -5 to 90 degree temps since I got them). The pharmacist won't "compound" less than 100 days at a time (news to me) and I have less than a month (for what they're worth) left. I've recently been sick, could this just be an effect of that? I'm sort of feeling at my wits end after a month of feeling pretty decent. Is there any study of bipolar going with hypo? Or am I reaching at straws?

When you get sick it can throw your whole body off. It may be the thyroid meds, but as you mentioned it could also be the meds associated with being bi-polar. You are just not 100% to begin with.

I don't get compounded meds, but do recognize that they don't have a very long shelf life and are not very stable either.

Force yourself to try and get some exercise for the serotonin levels. I have been very stressed and have had very bad mood swings. Stress is like being ill...

You may want to google bipolar and hypo... sorry, I can't help.

I appreciate your input. I've never actually been diagnosed bipolar and am on no meds for it. The mood swings I've been experiencing made me wonder if they were at all associated. You're right, though, I've always felt better when I exercised. I've just felt so BLAH lately and sinus congestion with fatigue that ...well, I think that actually covers it....EXCEPT, that I also haven't been able to sleep soundly through the night. Fatigue then restlessness...it makes no sense to me.

I still have the sleep issue. My thyroid is not optimized. I am seeing a DO and he prescribed Progesterone to trump my high cortisol issue and I am also in menopause. I am now sleeping thru the night, although I wake up and am not rested. It's horrible when you can't feel better after getting ample sleep. I am a little wired and tired...I understand...It's been windy here with rain and everything is blooming and then re-blooming. I am congested and have a sinus headache too... Wish I could sleep it off ;-(

Ugh, hear that. I had the worst sinus infection that I've had in YEARS after hubby had it. To be expected (I guess) his convalescence was met with more sympathy than mine. LOL :( Ah well, high hopes for a new juice cleanse I'm starting Monday. I'll see what happens. Thank you for the support.
