I just started seeing a Rheumatologist because I thought I might be developing Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have pain in the palms and first knuckles of all fingers in both hands. I have also developed trigger finger. Tonight while I was at my sisters I was telling her about the new symtom I have developed. I have a heaviness in my lower throat and chest. She felt my throat and we could both feel a small raised area at the base of my neck. I have read about the symptoms and I have almost all of them but every blood test I have comes up negative.. Do you get the joints stiffness with hypothyroid and can anyone tell me about what a goiter feels like on the inside... Thanks
If you experienced joint stiffness can you tell me how it manifested. I have joint stiffness but not really pain so much in my feet hands and wrists mainly. I have had bouts of low back pain that was worse than all the other symptoms. My left elbow is in pain constantly. My Dr. is checking for RA but my symptoms match very well with hypothyroid.
