My lab results..opinions?

I am posting my latest lab results.
I am tired, in a fog, feel bummed out and my skin is extremely dry and itchy.

T3 uptake- 29.2
T4 (thyroxine)- 7.9
T7 index- 2.3
TSH- 4.03
T4 Free Non-dialysis- 1.1

Any opinions??

what medicine are you on for thyroid? maybe you have issues with that medicine? TSH is a bit high but not really high. don't know about the others

I agree your TSH is a bit high, which is hypothyroidism, or hashis.

Please the lab ranges to go with these labs. I do not see a Free T3. I hope the Free T4 Non dialysis is the correct Free T4.

Definitely TSH is high. The Free T4 may be too low (below mid ranges) for you for the symptoms you are having.

It takes 6 to 8 weeks for the T4 to build up in your system. I felt better about two weeks after starting a dose of synthroid.

How long have you been on Synthroid? My opinion, go to the generic. I had the same symptoms on Synthroid and they only got worse with time.

I believe that a TSH of 4.03 is considered still hypothyroid. If you have been on the medication for over 6 weeks I would think that your doctor should increase your dosage. I'm not a doctor, but I find that for me any TSH over 1 and I'm feeling ill.

The problem is your doc is running outdated tests. These are what you need tested:
Free T-4
Free T-3
Third generation TSH
Your symptoms are still hypo. You probably need your meds upped if you still feel like this. Make sure next time you get the right tests.Hope you get the right dosage and feel better soon!
