I was told my tsh was 46 in the ER on Wednesday night. I have been having jaw and neck pain. On my right side. Tonight is feel like i have a tennis ball lodged in my throat, i am having trouble swallowing. I am getting very anxious about it and have paged my endo. I also noticed that i have been snoring alot at night even WITH my cpap on. I am feeling scared because it feels like someone is sitting on my throat.

Here's the most difficult thing about having hypothyroidism:
There's no rushing the process.
Typically, what happens is this:
You're diagnosed as hypothyroid
You put on a starter dose of 25 mcg of synthroid (sometimes 50)
You wait six weeks.
You get blood tests (preferably Free T4, Free T3, TSH if you want to feel well)
Based on the blood tests the dosage is adjusted
Six weeks later - more blood tests
Lather, Rinse, Repeat as often as necessary.
This is a life-long disease - just like diabetes. You need treatment. Once treatment begins - it may take a while (3-6 weeks) to begin feeling better. Be prepared:sometimes it takes six months to 18 months to balance you thyroid optimally.

Get your doctor to begin treatment....work on the rest later.
It's not unusual to go through several doctors before finding someone who will help "treat" hypo thyroidism.
