levothyroxine versus levoxyl

I was reading on line that levoxyl seems to be a little easier with side effects than the levo. The levo is giving quite a few side effects already been on it for 3 days low dose 12.5mg. I can't even imagine going higher with the dose. Armour is definitely easier which I currently take. Does anyone have any advice? My pharmacy does carry it so I would be willing to change it up if it would be easier.

I think all synthetics replacements cause hideous side effects. 12.5 is not really a dose that could do any good for you however. The normal starting dose is 25.

Is there another way to get you T4 up without taking these drugs. I am currently on armour 120mg but the FT4 is only about 40% of the range. FT3 on higher end. I wouldn't really care if it were not for some lingering symptoms.

I am in your situation. My Naturethriod just didnt do the trick with getting the T4 up so I must supplement it with Levo which I loathe but have no choice. Tried everything, trust me, but ended up with that and in the right exact dosage does work along with your NT or Armour. I had hidous titration issues with Levo for several years as do most people but once you get your dosage precisely correct, those symptoms dissipate slowly but surely. Dont waste time, get on the synthetic T4, life is too short as it is!
