She was wonderful! She's also treating my Mom for hypothyroid problems and has been doing a great job for years, and she's very familiar with my family history already so I had high hopes. She wasn't like the last doctor I saw, she actually CARED and spent a lot of time listening to me, talking about my life in general, going over my symptom list and lab results. She said I definitely appear hypothyroid, but because I bounce between different sets of symptoms that sound hyper and hypo she wants a more complete set of labs run before she decides how to treat me. I have an endo who for the last year, actually asks me how I'm feeling..
I saw a maniac endo for 3 yrs previously, who bristled whenever I uttered a word..mad-woman!

Glad you feel comfortable with your doctor, that is already unusual.
Agree, dont take the supps until your doctor has your labs done.
And make sure you get the correct labs. Do post what labs your doctor requests for you, and we will tell you if you should continue with this doctor or find someone else.
Labs are essential. Symptoms can be confusing for diangosis and medication protocol. The best scenario for diagnosis is both labs and symptoms.
Would be interested to know your labs, once you get them.
