I am a 20 year old female and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 7 months ago and currently take 50mg levothyroxine. I have not felt fully better so have had two blood tests, both showing that my levels are in the correct range and my dosage doesnt need to go up.

However, i now wear a fitbit and now know my resting heart rate is 45bpm, which is obviously too low. Also, my periods are like crazy. Before i went on the meds they were pretty regular. Now im on the levothyroxine, my cycles have gone up to 35 days and my most recent one was 17 days! I know that my hypothyroidism is not under control but the doctor says there is nothing they can do to help me,.

Anybody have any suggestions how I can improve my condition or gone through a similar thing? Do you think i should pester my doctor to see if there is anything they can offer me?
