Hey guys!! I posted a post a few days ago because and got no answers. I work for LabCorp and I'm a EMT but of course we are our own worst patients. I have a pseudo tumor cerebri it's we're my body doesn't drain my spinal fluid properly so it builds up in my brain but since your school won't move its eats away at your optic nerves and eventually you lose your eyesight. They have to drain my spinal fluid with tons of spinal taps finally I got a shunt put into my spinal column that goes around my waist and drains into my stomach. The reason I say all this is because any problems I had that said it was because of my tumor. I got my shunt on 3/15.
I have always had EXTREME fatigue but has gotta worse where it's literally al I do is sleep.
Hyper pigmentation of skin
Dry skin
Weight gain
Extreme joint pain in hands and knees
Muscle pain where my legs ESP upper thighs feel so heavy I can't lift them high enough not to trip and I will trip on flat surfaces.
Constipation
Hair loss
Depression I've had since my moms suicide in 03 but not getting better almost feels worse.
Dry cough
Anxiety which I've never really had
Extreme blurry vision
Heart palpitations ( fast)
PCP started out with all the normal things exam, labs, referrals. I'm exhausted from all the specialist appts and diagnostic testing and labs over the past 2 weeks. Did know if I told you guys that my labs show thyroid problems. Extremely low Vitamin D, thyroidglobulin antibody high, parathyroid high reverse T3 messed up and then a thyroid ultrasound that showed multi modular goiter with infectious lymph nodes all the way down to the bottom of my cervical spine. I had an echo that was normal they sent me for that because I had 2 abdnormal EKG showing SVT. So I finally got into endocrinologist and she says I dont think it's your thyroid, I do think you will have to have an u/s every 6 months (to check thyroid tumors) but she said your labs on your adrenal glands are not right should be high in AM and low in PM. Mine are normal in.AM and very high at nighttime so she said she's looking at cushings disease and she told me that causes extreme fatigue and a lot of symptoms I am having. So I will do a 24 hour urine Monday and if that's off you do your cortisol sticks in your mouth 4 times a day so they can narrow down when it's high and low. So that's next week and cardiologist. My PCP mentioned the CFS. I can sleep 22 hours get up 30 min later I'm a sleepy again!
I'm sorry for such a long post but I wanted to say everything that's been done up till now and what you guys are thinking about symptoms I'm saying? Because I work at LabCorp I get free labs so if someone says you need to have this checked (from experience) my PCP will. I'm out on disability right now because I can barely function right now.

I'm so sorry you hear about your health problems. It sounds like your endo is checking your cortisol before addressing thyroid concerns - that's actually a good thing. I know it certainly doesn't -feel- like it.
If you have cushings, and she/he treats your thyroid first...you can die. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but that's just how it is.
We had one guy here who had Cushing's and didn't know it until he optimized his thyroid...but he had a really, really hard time and various trips to the ER.
If I were in your shoes - this is what I would do:
1) Let them either identify and treat Cushing's or Rule it out.
2) Post your labs here like this
Free T4 (Range .7-1.7 or whatever) and result (.3 or whatever)
Do the same with the rest of your thyroid labs, but be aware This SITE HAS A REALLY ANNOYING FEATURE SO IF YOU USE A GREATER THAN OR LESS THAN SIGN IT WILL CUT OFF YOUR POST. You have to type less than or greater than.
3) Once Cushing's is either identified or ruled out...address your thyroid..I'm betting you have issues there as well. But, without your labs, it's hard to tell.

If you have high thyroid antibodies, high reverse T3, and a goiter...that's a BIG red flag.
