I haven't been on here much. I've been struggling with some major depression issues. But here's some updates...

Good:
1) I have switched back to being vegan and I have seen a major improvement of my overall health for the most part.
2) So far I've managed to keep off the weight I lost
3) Work has gotten a bit better
4) Been avoiding yellow #5 food coloring and most all others when possible.

Bad:
1) Still not eating normally
2) My throat goes up and down in size...
3) I now have horrible nodular acne on the lower half of my face. I have access to some of the best skin care treatments on this planet and I can't get rid of it... GAH!
4) Even in an air-conditioned room, I get sweaty.
5) Joint pain is still bad in morning and doesn't really go away.

I see the doctor on the 17th. I will be speaking with him about the depression, skin issues, etc.

Just wanted to let everyone know I'm still alive and kicking (and screaming).

glad you're feeling better in some ways, hope you resolve those other issues. i feel you on the joint pain, at work the other day i almost dislocated my knees turning my body lol. Do you have nerve issues as well, or just the joints?

I do have some nerve issues. My feet fall asleep soon after sitting. They are constantly too hot. I have to leave my feet out of the covers all year. I've also have had vision disturbances of varying issues and degrees.

I have astigmatism, and nerve issues. Mainly the sciatic nerve on the right side affects me the most, causing pain in my butt and lower back. My hands also seem to have issues where they get so weak i can't open or grip things well. i also stick my feet out of the covers all the time lol

My hands aren't bad, but when I cut hair or I'm doing nails, I've noticed they do start to shake more than ever. My feet right now are on FIRE. Does it keep you up at night? I lose sleep over it.

it doesn't keep me awake no, but i find that if my feet aren't out of the covers the rest of me gets so hot. I get the hands shaking thing, i have noticed that lately with me. it's like i don't have the strength or something. I wish i could take something for my joints, but i can't take any NSAIDS, b/c of my stomach, so i only get to take like tyelnol, which does pretty much nothing.

when you say your neck is going up and down in size do you mean externally or internally? I have been having issues with internal swelling. we were thinking it might be food allergy but isn't acting like a normal food allergy.

Great to hear from you!

Glad to hear of the improvements but, so sorry to hear of your ongoing struggles.

I hope your doctor will provide some answers.

Will you be getting new blood work? Is the doctor receptive to desiccated thyroid such as Armour?

Sorry I've not been on... life got in the way. So to answer some peeps back...

Ashley: I can't take NSAIDs either. I ruined my stomach years ago taking them and now I have an international incident if I take them.

laylabelle27: I had severe swelling of my thyroid and I also have several food allergies. The Left side of my neck was MASSIVE for 2 weeks. The food/ enviromental allergies I'm still finding things that are making me ill. A lot of them are at my place of work.

CD: I will speak with my doctor about getting bloodwork again. As of now I don't feel that bad, but I still don't feel all that good. I got rid of the FD&C Yellow 5 I am allergic to, but I am still finding it in foods. Organic foods in the US only have to be 95% to be certified... I've had a few run-ins with it, but they weren't bad reactions. I'm thinking of going to a full raw vegan diet.
