hair breakage

I saw the post about hair loss. I have some ofthat but lately i have been noticing it is breaking off. My hair is long and when i put my hair up i am seeing shorter pieces sticking out. I am considering cutting it short again. It makes me sad to think about doing that because it took so long to grow it long. :((

My hair looks that way too! I also have noticed a change in texture. It seems more frizzy and has more fly always. It's also duller looking. I hope it improves as my levels go back up with treatment.

I have a lot of breakage, too. My hair is really fine and thin to begin with, so the breakage is really disheartening for me. Like utahgal, the texture of my hair is more rough and it seems more frizzy, too. My hairstylist cut a bunch off about a month ago, and he couldn't believe how much it had changed. I'm doing everything I can to keep it healthy. I just hope that my natural supplements begin to help...

Me too..before Synthroid my hair was always SO shiny, hairdresser's would even remark on it..
It was always falling out in my opinion, but everyone commented on how healthy it looked due to the shine etc.
Now it's a frizzy texture, and dull looking..
This has been gradually getting worse since I have been on thyroid meds these last 3 year..

Arrrg!!
