Got bumped up to 210 mg Armour

I had 1/2 my thyroid removed in May, & it's been an uphill battle getting my medication right. I was on 120mg for a few months, then got bumped up to 180. Now Im up to 210. My last blood draw showed my thyroid was almost non-functional, but the MD didn't up my dose right away. He simply said that Nature Thyroid doesn't work & to go back to Armour. Has anyone else had a problem with Nature Thyroid vs. Armour? I have only been on the 210 mg for 3 days, but already feel better. Thanks!

If you feel better, then stay with it. Armour isn't all it's cracked up to be. The last formula change of Armour they added more fillers that make it harder to do sublingually and it tastes like soggy cardboard. I take NP Thyroid by Acella. They are using the original formula that made Armour what it was before they changed it. It dissolves very easily under the tongue and isn't too horrible tasting. But I have heard good things about Natures too, so stay with it.

Happy to hear you're feeling better - that *is* all that matters.

Everyone responds differently to the various thyroid hormone preparations out there.....it all has to do with the fillers used.

It's a mystery to me why doctors take you off your meds or lower it when you tell them you are feeling good. It sounds like a conspiracy!!
