I have been on Tirosint for about three or four months. My numbers were improving. Everytime I tried to get a refill the pharmacies in my area could not get it. Now my endo. insists that I go back on Synthroid, which I have not been on in years. Is this a recipe for disaster???
I'm sure you know that fillers can impede absorption.
Synthroid contains a bunch of fillers.
More likely than not, you'll need a higher dose of Synthroid than what you were taking with Tirosint.
And, there's a good chance you also need Cytomel as UG suggested.
Your FT4/FT3 labs will tell you exactly what you need.
