Fluctuating blood pressure

Back in January my doctor put me back on ramipril because was too high. I went to her today three months later and now it's too low so I'm just going to see if just taking the diltiazem 240mg xc will help. I was on both ramipril and diltiazem for a while. I know that blood pressure naturally fluctuates throughout the day. I've just never had it be too low. Is it hypothyroidism causing this or too much medication?

It could be from the medication or hypothyroidism. At first with hypothyroidism the bp might be low but left untreated for awhile it can get higher, as mine did.

I know that fluctuating pulse can be from adrenal fatigue, which is what I am experiencing right now.

Please be careful with that medication as it can be dangerous if you bp gets too low.

The diltiazem(tiazac) helps keep my pulse normal. Without it my heart would be racing all of the time. I still get palpitations sometimes and chest pain once in a while. I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing adrenal fatigue. It's been a while since I had my adrenals tested. My endocrinologist tested them a few years ago. I will be careful with the medication. :) I've tried many different bp medications over the years. Some made no difference, some worked for a while then stopped.

When you say fluctuating blood pressure, have you had it fluctuate within only a little while of each other? do you mean fluctuating within the space of a day? Because my fluctuations seem to occur within minutes of each other. I can take my blood pressure and it'll be 101/50, and the next time i take it, literally within a few minutes, it'll be 80/ 50. That's almost 20 points difference when nothing has changed: not my physical movements, or anxiety levels, nothing. It does this all the time btw, it's constantly fluctuating. I'm the only person in the house who gets error warnings from the bp cuff as well. my mom can take hers multiple times and never get errors, so can everyone else. but i always get them, as if something went wrong during the testing, or maybe my fluctuation was so erratic that the cuff couldn't read it? I don't know, but it's annoying.

That would be annoying Ashley. I meant fluctuating in the sense that for a few months it will be too high, another few months it will be normal and another few months it will be too low. I have had it go from too low to normal in one day. I have a blood pressure machine at home but I usually check it at Walmart or the local drugstore so I can get the printouts to give to my doctor. I usually see my family doctor every three months to get refills for my medications. I do know that blood pressure can fluctuate greatly throughout the day. I'm not sure by how much though.
