. My synthroid was raised from .175 to .200 mcg 26 days ago. Since that time, i have developed the following:
Extreme anxiety/panic attacks
extreme irritability/bad mood swings
Trouble sleeping
extreme agitation, restlessness, feel like i can't stop moving
Headaches
extreme sensitivity to heat, profuse sweating
muscle twitching
Crying more than usual
tight throat
I am MISERABLE!!! I HAVE called my endo three times and each time i am told NOT to go down on my dose and that i need to wait until i have my TSH checked. She refuses to check my free t3 and free t4. Ihave made an appointment to see my regular dr tomorrow.
I feel so angry, sad, awful...after i talked to the nurse at my endo's office, i sat at my desk and bawled. This dr has always listened to me when i've had problems with my meds. I don't know what she is trying to prove by making me suffer. :(

Go to your family doctor and insist (nicely...and I know that's hard when you feel like your about to burst from your skin like something out of "Aliens") that he/she do the Free T3 and Free T4 test along with the TSH. Tell him/her you want to take an active part in your care and you need these tests to optimize your levels.
Don't stop your meds until you get the labs, K?

If you have anything to treat the symptoms, I suggest you do that. Xanax helped me a lot at times such as this.
I suggest you avail yourself of one of the online lab services. The one I'm linking below works with LabCorp. You order and pay for the tests online, get your blood drawn at your local LabCorp and the results will be emailed to you.

Either value is insanely high so it's unlikely you are hyper.
I don't think you need to go to the ER....again, if you can take something to help with the symptoms, that would be good.
If you can get your regular doctor to run the labs tomorrow, that's optimal.

The difference between 175mcg and 200mcg is just too great.
Not everyone feels well with alternating doses...
The most that any dose should differ from another one is 12.5mcg....
Still, TC40 .....I've been where you're at and everyone else can relate.
The meds titration process isn't for the faint-hearted.
Taking things to help with the symptoms associated with the process is really the only thing we can do....
Your TSH is an indication that you really, really need to be on meds.
