I see my endo tomorrow. Had TSH checked. She wouldn%t check the others. It'llbe interesting to see where my TSH is..still having a horrible inllsensitivity to heat...irritability, nervousness, agitation depression and anxiet. :(

I am so sorry. It would have been nice of her to check your Ft4 and Ft3. It's your body and you should get what you ask for. The Frees are so important for your health.

Sorry but it seems your doc is an idiot...the way you feel, he won't check your hormones to see what your actual thyroid hormones are doing? I would go see someone else if you can. It doesn't have to be an endo but one who is willing to treat thyroid, like an internist,D.O. or a natureopath.

My endo would NEVER order the FT3 either..so last time I had to resort to ticking the box next to the FT3 test at the blood lab myself!!
I pay, I wanted to know..
I have now changed doctor, I have an appt with a new endo on the 28th..
I really DO NOT understand WHY the doctors are so stubborn, condensending and ignorant quite honestly. It's my body, I want to know.. She also REFUSES to do an antibodies test also?
Anyway, I am hopeful for my new doc..

Yes, i have heard of others checking the FT3 box...good for you. Like you said, you're paying for it. It could be the insurance companies though coming down on docs for running some of these tests. They seem to rule now.

My tsh has really come down. It is at 12 now. She sent me to the lab forfree t3 and freet4 tests. Amen to that!!!!

She said that my free t3 and free t4 were both well within normal limits

That's great I'm glad you are on your way to recovery! my clinic won't check anything but TSH either, except this last test it was TSH with reflex to t4? i don't even know what that means lol, but apparently i'm in ' normal' range so yeah.
