:(
I went thru the whole workup more than once - including an unnecessary heart catheterization....when it was my thyroid that was causing all the issues with my heart all along. But it was freakin' scary at the time, and frankly, my family thought I was a goner.
But, eventually, an experienced doctor looked at my anti-bodies for Hashi's and went "Doh, I think this is thyroid related". And...it was.
Always best to check it out.
Took a dose last night and this morning with magnesium and Guess What? Mr. Toad has stopped thumping pretty much completely...

Yes, low potassium can cause heart symptoms.
How is your Sodium level, along with Potassium level? I ask because the adrenal hormone Aldosterone controls these two. I had low aldosterone and was put on potassium Rx and advised to intake more salt in my diet. And of course this all has a link to thyroid function too.

At those levels (either one of them) my heart would be fluttering like an angry moth in the dark flogging the first beam of light! I went to the ER several times with levels that low due to heart "issues" and has some straaaaange EKG's. Of course, my brilliant (not) doctors at the time wanted to give me all kinds of heart meds. Luckily, a doctor from Haiti looked at my labs and went, "Whoa, you've got the freakiest thyroid I've ever seen!" And I got better once my thyroid levels were on the rise.
Now, everyone's different...but not THAT different, ya know? As I said on another thread - most people feel "ok" with a Free T3 over 50% of range (at least) and a Free T4 of 60-100%. You're a looooong way from that.
