dr appt tomorrow

I have a follow up with my endocrinologist tomorrow.i'm feeling sluggish,so wont be too suprised if my numbers are a little off.He never worries though about anything.He even tells me my fatigue isnt from my thyroid! which is ridiculous because i have Hashimotos.Ive had to have biopsies in the past when nodules grow.hopefully i wont need that again.Just dislike him so much.I tend to shut down and forget to ask the right questions when I'm in there.my mind just goes on vacation ..


What are important questions to ask do you think?   hope everyones doing ok

Ok, this gave me a bit of whiplash: "He even tells me my fatigue isnt from my thyroid! " What. An. Idiot. Is there -any- way that you can find a different doctor - even if it's a GP? This guy is going to keep you ill, and he's told you so in the above line. RUN don't walk from this idiot.

As for questions to ask (if its not too late) - ask for your copy of your labs so you can take them elsewhere for actual help.

I just got back from a follow up appointment.Wow! he was really different today.Did a 360. although my tsh is staying in the 1-2 range he offered me thyroid medication.Really shocked as its been a 5 before and was given nothing.I totally forgot to ask for a copy of my bloodwork.darn it. I was also shocked that he said he thinks i "might have" lupus.This is the same guy that for years has dismissed my chronic fatigue as depression.Well idk what woke him up but I'm glad.He even said he hates to see me suffering? Did someone kidnap my endo and leave behind an imposter.
have to say I always suspected lupus.Ive had chronic fatigue,joint pain ,swelling ,inflamatory issues etc etc for years.My next appointment is in october shocked again he usually sees me every 6 months to a year.Hes repeating bloodwork and doing an ultrasound.so i guess today was a success. thxs everyone hope everyone is having a good day.

Fallingleaves: I'm so happy that your idiot doctor woke up! They can be like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde! Before he switches back to Dr. Idiot from Dr. Prince, please get a copy of your labs and post them here (on this forum) with ranges. Now that you've begun treatment (all important first step accomplished!!!), you'll need help optimizing your thyroid (and doctors just don't cut it alone). We'll be thrilled to help you. So get those labs and take those meds! YAY you

    I am suffering from the inability to cope with ordinary every day things.  From my housework to watching tv or reading a book.  I get palpatations, nervousness, at the moment my heart is palpatating and all I am doing is typing this.  I am so scared its silly, I just want to stay in bed and just get up for meals and coffee.  Not that that is going to happen.  At the moment I have my daughter...
