doing the 1 step forward, 2 steps back dance

it's been 10 weeks since hypo diagnosis, and every day has been different. just when it seems like things are going well, like 2 weeks ago when I noticed the brain fog was gone, then everything turned around last Thursday when symptoms of what I thought could be a bad sinus infection started. the past 5 days have been just awful, severe headaches, and digestive pain. have been trying to deal with it with over the counter, but nothing has seemed to help. all kind of things/fears go through my mind (as is the tendancy with hypo). dosage from 5/11/12 was 75mcg, and increased to 88mcg as of 6/27/12.

is this par for the course?

Unfortunately, yes.....it was the story of my life for the first 6 months of the meds titration process.

After that, both my FreeT4 and FreeT3 levels were above mid-range and I had longer periods of time feeling better (not anywhere near 100%) and the symptoms I did have were less intense and/or of shorter duration.

The return of symptoms is a sign a dose adjustment is in order. I hope you'll get one the next time your doctor orders labs.

That's exactly how I feel. I start to improve on one aspect and get a bit worse on another. I can be frustrating and depressing. But when I feel frustration, I find a way to vent. I try talking to someone or add on tasks to my day so next thing I know, I made it one more day. I feel like those who are dealing with an addiction. If I make it through today, then I can keep going for the next day. It takes so much work to go forward. But I try to remain positive by telling myself one day I will get there...hang in there, you are not alone....

the support here means so much, thank you everyone. decided to contact the doc this morning, have pins/needles feeling in lower arms and still the severe headache, stomach upset, no appetite, etc....
