Some call it Brain Fog......Many of us get it. young and old. Some days are just better then others.

It maybe if your meds are right you do better. I know I do....but I still get it at the worst times. My mind just goes blank. I couldn't remember my sister in law's name to introduce her when she was visiting. I just faked it and just said "This is my sis". She has been for over 30 years.

they don't know what causes the way i feel some days are worse than others i have chonic nausea - enlarged putitily gland on right side of head its like a very bad headace that doesn't go away they found that thru my full body scans i go thru thats how i lost my right kidney too.

I'm not on any thyroid medication. I am looking for another endo though to talk to him about this because I have constant fatigue and this "brain fog" appears to be getting worse. I was just diagnosed at the end of last month so I have only had one endo apt so far.

I wish I could say I had some magic trick to help this, but I don't. It has also been really difficult for me. Just today I walked two blocks to find where I parked my car when it was really parked right outside on my apartment. How insane is that?

I just started Armour Thyroid a week before Christmas and it seems to be helping slightly, but not enough yet.

all the time. I struggle every day. I am sorry. I also struggle with anxiety which I developed after diagnosed with thyroid. It really sucks.

I have definitely felt this way. I've found it got a little bit better when I started taking Levothyroxine-within a couple of days my fog lifted. However, I still struggle with memory more than before. So, I try to write things down (don't go to the grocery store without a list)! And I do some brain exercises like sudoku before I go to bed. I've read that you can help improve your memory, so I try those games to do so.
Just think of it as another "task" to keep your body working well.

Good luck! I think you'll continue to see improvements as you visit with your endo.

I've also felt this way and had a hard time with conversations sometimes. I also find that I can easily be over stimulated by some. I used to work for an attorney and we'd go to lunch quite often. She talked a mile a minute and the entire time(sometimes 2 or 3 hour lunches). I would find myself nodding and not comprehending half of what she would say. All I can say is it does get better sometimes. Hang in there. :)

Yes, it's horrible! One minute you're doing one thing and the next you're doing another and you don't know why. I can't stand it, but I have an appointment in a month and I just upped my meds myself because I'm sick on these doctors not listening to me. I know what I' doing but if you have to wait three months for an appointment, then you have to treat yourself. It's not fun!

Holy BEjeez!! YES!! It's horrible. For the first time in quite some time I felt like trying to crochet something. I have been too sick/fatigued and or dizzy to pull it out in a LONG time. It was so frustrating! I couldn't focus long enough to follow a simple pattern, and made mistake after mistake. I finally got so disgusted I put it all back! It used to be relaxing for me to set and work a pattern out. NOT!! That's just ONE example. My memory is shot. I have a hard time holding comversations with people that it's really embarrassing. I swear I think for those people that don't know me well would think I take some sort of drug or something! I hate that. Other days I can be much better. hmmph.

Lavender...I also replied to your post about your bad dreams. Once again, yes, I know exactly what you are going through!! I have had this for a long time now and it is very embarrasing and frustrating!!! Please look into Fibromyalgia as this is also a very common symptom of Fibro!
