So anyway you are one of the lucky ones who obviously has a decent doc!! Yay!
As to whether it makes a difference,I think people have had positive responses to it.. If you read some of the previous posts here you will probably find the answer, however I think it's an individual thing. Works for one and not others....
Heres hoping it works for you...
I still have the feeling of fogginess a little and the lights still bother me, but I am now being tested for migraines and any abnormalities of my brain waves. I had an EEG done Friday for that. They also think I have developed a panic disorder from all of these dang hormones being off...how wonderful....not
Hope this helps you some! I would def. ask your doc about trying some T3!! It might make your heart race at first but it will even out and you should see some improvement. My heart hardly ever races anymore from my meds.
When I was just on synthroid I felt better, but not good.
Since I started taking 10mcg of Cytomel nine months ago many of my symptoms have gone away.
I was reduced to 5mcg last month as I lost 40 lbs and needed less.
My doctor wanted to take me off it last Friday. The weekend was fine. Monday was not. By Thursday I was a wreck. Friday I called the doctor.
I am currently back to taking 5mcg a day which is a very small dosage, but it was very obvious to me that I had stopped taking it. I think that if my doctor wants to adjust anything else he should take a look at my synthroid level (currently on .125mg of Levothyroxine). My TSH is low, but we all know how that goes. I feel good and that's what matters to me.
Good luck!
