About a month ago, my tsh came back slightly elevated. My fam dr changed me from 75mcg of levothyroxine to 100mg synthroid.
I got really nervous, had diarrhea, palpitations and felt like crying.
I was retested and my dose was too high.
The dr lowered it to .88mcg synthroid. I also so an endocrinologist who agreed the dose was too high.
After a month on the .88mcg, I was still feeling the same as on the 100.
I saw my fam dr again because the endo was not available, and he cut me back down to .75mcg but on the synthroid. He said maybe the brand name at 75mcg will be ok.
The thing is, I still feel nervous, have palpitations, feel like crying and have diarrhea. I have only been on the .75mcg for about a week.
I called my endocrinologist's office and they want to see me tomorrow.
Could it be that the effects of the .88 are still in my system or can I be sensitive to synthroid? I've always taken levothyroxine.

I'm having the same issue as you in regards to nervousness, etc. but I'm only on 50mcg of Eltroxin. This is the first med I've tried though. But even though a brand can contain the same main ingredient as another brand, they are slightly different, and I absolutely think it can make a difference. Or it could be interacting with other meds you might be on.
So glad you're seeing your enfo! I'm no expert, but I think your experience has proved that you absolutely can be sensitive to one medication over another! All the best, hoping you feel well SOON!
