In the past few days i have developed SERIOUSLY bad burning itching and watering in my eyes. I have tried allergy meds, allergy eyedrops and nothing is helping. My eyes are now red sore and swollen. I am also still suffering from severe hotflashes anxiety and irritability. I googled the whole eye situation and it seems that there could be correlation between these symptoms and too much thyroid med. Help!!!!! :((
Question: When is your next lab draw scheduled? What were your last lab results? TSH, FREE t3 and Free T4? It's really hard to discern what's really going on with you without that information, but I understand if you don't want to share it.
FYI - during a dosage increase - there are all sorts of unpleasant symptoms that can occur and even worsen before your body adjusts to the "new normal". It's an unfortunate and quite a trial to endure, but I know of no way around it during the titration process other than gradually increasing the dosage...but that can lead to hypo symptoms than linger. So, again without your labs, it's hard to know what's really happening with you.
Excessive tears can cause eye damage so get to the doctor as soon as possible. Over-the-counter medication to dry your eyes is not good either.
