I would also like to know. The highest my temp has gotten was 97.5 (but that was on my period and I think I read somewhere that it's not a true temp until day 5 of your period). Without a period it stays at 97.2. I stay cold. Some normalcy in body temp would be beautiful. :)

my temp can vary from minute to minute. I am constantly putting on my sweater, than taking it off, putting on my slippers than taking them off... it is frustrating.

I have no idea. The highest I go is 97 degrees. Today at the doctors office I was 95 degrees, but I think my thyroid is acting up as I am tired more and my hair is falling out more. Gotta love Hashis.

Is the low body temp Hashimoto? Mine was at 96.6 today. I was told I don't have the Hashimoto.

NinjaMother, I do that too at night. I am constantly putting the cover on and taking it off. I think it is one of the major reasons I don't sleep well...just can't get comfortable temp wise.

The body temp should go up, with proper dosage of thyroid medication. Mine is still low also, first thing in the morning, it was 95.9, then after my dose of T3, it goes up to a bone chilling 96.6... I wondered why I always feel cold!
I am going back to the doc next week, so I will bend his ear!
If the temp is fluctuating it means you have low adrenals and need to supplement with small doses of cortisol. You should have your doctor test you for adrenal insufficency, or you can send away for a saliva test to check it yourself. I will probably have to go back on the stuff myself.

Here is some more information about body temps.

I did a saliva test for my adrenals. It was too funny that both my ND and I laughed. My cortisol for morning, noon, afternoon and midnight was either 1 or less than one. I have been on Isocort for about two and a half months. We tried me on hydrocortisone, but got the adrenal symptoms back, so went back on Isocort.

My endo did a blood test for total cortisol, which came back normal. So my body is making it, however, it is bound and not free for the cells to use.

Yes, it's a low protein issue. I eat Peanut butter on bread & a hot cup of coffee or tea. It works very fast & you should feel the difference quickly. Your doctor won't tell you this but I found it on Womantowoman.com.

I had the ACTH Stim test (?) and 1 came back abnormal; 2 normal so they didn't even bother with doing anything. I have always thought I had Adrenal Insufficiency and thus why I asked about it and had them test me (they did it but not without telling me that I was fine first). :) Should they have followed up with the one test being abnormal?
