Hang in there, yep u probably want to say "whatever" to the "hang in there" but it is all we can do for now & smile, u r soo not alone, I hv found a website, maybe you've come across it but if not its ...Stop the Thyroid Madness, a must read to get a handle on how the thyroid works & infinite links that r very informative to our Q's:)) on u missing the phone call, that happened to me, & when I talked w/ them they were freaking because I had absolutely NO thyroid production at all, I had to count my pills to prove to them I had been taking my thyroid meds the whole time, they had never seen such a sudden drop, docs see something new everyday too,lol. That was early Feb & I'm still here:) relax, the ER is 24/7 even though we hate it! Wish u well! FYI, I'm married to an INTJ, so u can get some good reads in on that web site referred above:)

Thanks so much. I do hear it, but It's different coming from someone who's been in my shoes. Most people around me have told me to suck it up and that there are people sicker than me..... My father has been very supportive of me. Hes a dialysis patient (undersized kidneys were damaged by high blood pressure meds) and know about the struggles one can face being in a situation as I am in.

I do know that my doctor is looking at specifically things like lupus, RA, liver issues, kidney issues, MS (my mother has relapsing/ remitting), latent viruses.... I can admit, that I'm scared. I do have to accept that I have a predisposition for all of those and may have accept a fate that I was hoping to not get. I just keep having these "incidents" and they scare me. I just need to know why.

Hang in there darling. I have all the symptoms you've mentioned and they didn't find anything "off" in my blood work as of last week aside from very low Vit D. They called me on Fri asking me to call them right back asap and my heart almost stopped and I was and still am scared as hell...so I know how you feel and I know you're scared. I bought "Stop the Thyroid Madness" too and it's a great resource. Take it one day and one THING at a time. You know you have a thyroid condition, so focus on getting that corrected first. Everything right now is scary, I understand. I know exactly how you feel and I know it's a huge struggle to work, drive, or do anything for that matter. :( Please let us know what happens when you talk to the dr.

I called the doctor today and nothing came back out of range. I am interested in seeing what my number are. I was on prednisone when I took that blood test, but I don't know if that would change anything. I wish the hospital would have taken blood. It seems to me that whole "incident" with going to the hospital set off so many other things. I feel very depressed since then. The joint/ chest pain is out of control. Evan as I type this, my right hand hurts a lot and I cannot move my my index finder without pain and discomfort. My neck hurts 24/7 and is swollen on the left side. Swallowing is hard. I've basically stopped eating because its hard to swallow and when I can get it down, it goes through me so fast...

I will be talking to my doctor about everything. the stomach issues are the most troubling.

That's good news, I know I felt some relief after hearing my results. My throat is extremely swollen and my voice is getting horse and it hurts, but I know it's my thyroid. Have you had a ct scan or anything yet? If not, try to get one. I see a new dr tomorrow and am going to ask for another one, I know my goiter has gotten much worse since first being diagnosed. I'm pretty sure it's your thyroid, so please try not to worry yourself. Take it one thing at a time. I know it's easier said than done. Once you get your thyroid situated, if you still have symptoms, take it from there. This is what I tell myself daily, because the stress of worrying is just too much for me. Are you sleeping any better? Get your Vit D checked if you haven't already. I'm VERY low. This will cause the pain you describe. I've been taking a crazy amount of Vit D for two weeks or so per my doctor, and I've noticed the pain and numbness is not as severe. I've also had stomach issues, I have some serious malabsorption going on, which my dr told me is common. I'm learning to accept that the thyroid being off causes pretty much every damn thing thing to be off and it sucks and it's scary. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
